Konu özeti
James Stevens(Anthony Hopkins), İkinci Dünya Savaşı öncesinin çalkantılı İngiltere'sindeki, Darlington Malikânesi'nin baş uşağıdır ve kurallara olan aşırı bağlılığıyla ün salmıştır.
