Konu özeti
Richard Vineyard ailesiyle beraber hafta sonu geçirmek için New Jersey’nin güneyindeki Barrens korusuna kamp yapmaya gider. Bazı rivayetlere göre burada 400 yıllık bir geçmişi olan korkunç Jersey Şeytanı yaşamaktadır. Jersey Şeytanı, yöre halkı tarafından 13. çocuğunu şeytana kurban etmeye zorlanan bir annenin hikayesine dayanan bir efsanedir. Rivayetlere kulak asmayan Vineyard ailesi mükemmel kamp alanını bulmak için birlikte ormanın derinliklerine doğru ilerler. Bir süre sonra ormanda vahşice öldürülmüş hayvanlar bulunmasıyla ve kamptan genç bir çocuğun kaybolmasıyla olaylar korkutucu bir hal alır. Bu sırada Richard da bir şeyin onları takip ettiğinden şüphelenmeye başlamıştır. Çok geçmeden tatilleri paranoya ile dehşetin sınırlarında dolaştıkları bir yolculuğa dönüşür.
