Konu özeti
16 yaşındaki Hazel üç yıldır tiroid kanseriyle boğuşmaktadır ve kanser akciğerlerine de sıçradığı için yanında bir oksijen tüpüyle gezmektedir. Kanserli hastalar için oluşturulan destek grubunun bir terapi seansı esnasında Augustus isimli bir gençle tanışır. Augustus da beyin tümörüyle savaşmış ve bu yolda bir bacağını kaybetmiştir. İkili birlikte zaman geçirdikçe birbirlerine aşık olurlar. Akciğer tedavisi için hastaneye yatırılan Hazel'ın yanından bir an dahi ayrılmayan Augustus, sevgilisinin çok istediği bir hayali gerçekleştirmek için onunla birlikte yola çıkar. Planlarına göre Amsterdam'a gidecek ve Hazel'ın en sevdiği yazar olan Peter Van Houten'i bulmaya çalışacaklardır...
