Konu özeti
Yeni milenyumun ilk onunda aşırı ilerlemiş teknolojinin merhamet duygusunu solladığı bir dönemde Martin ailesi NDR-114 modeli yeni bir robot satın alır. Ailenin en küçük çocuğu robota Andrew adını verir. Robot günlük işleri yapmak üzere programlanmıştır. Martin ailesi bir süre sonra sahip olduklarının sıradan bir makine olmadığını anlar. Çünkü Andrew insanlara özgü duygulara ve yaratıcı düşüncelere sahiptir.
