Konu özeti
Chuck Tatum, New York City'den New Mexico'ya gelmek zorunda kalmış; bencil, şansı ters gitmiş, son derece inatçı bir muhabir gazetecidir. Önceden çalıştığı iş yerlerinden yalan haber, aşırı alkol tüketimi gibi sebeplerden dolayı atılmıştır. Bir yıldır son derece önemsiz Albuquerque Sun-Bulletin gazetesinde yazmasına rağmen durumundan memnun değildir.
