Konu özeti
Tomas, karısı Ebba ve çocukları Vera ile Harry kış tatili için bir haftalığına Fransız Alplerine giden İsveçli bir ailedir. Lüks bir otele yerleşen aile tatilin ikinci gününde, öğle yemeği yedikleri esnada kontrollü bir çığ vakasıyla karşılaşırlar. Karlar yemek yedikleri restoranın üzerine doğru inerken Tomas anlık bir refleksle karısını ve çocuklarını ardında bırakıp kaçmaya başlar. Olay sona erip her şey normale döndükten sonra Tomas, Ebba'da yarattığı hayal kırıklığına tanık olur. Evliliğinin zorlu bir dönemeçte olduğunu fark eden Tomas, aile hiyerarşisindeki yerini tekrar kazanmaya çalışırken trajikomik anlar yaşanacaktır.
