Konu özeti
Savaş muhabiri J.M. Ledgard’ın romanından beyazperdeye uyarlanan filmde, bir İngiliz hidrolik mühendisi olan James Moore (James McAvoy), Afrika'nın doğu kıyısında penceresi olmayan bir odada cihadçı savaşçılar tarafından esir alınır. Binlerce kilometre uzaklıktaki Grönland Denizi’nde ise, biyomatematikçi Danielle Flinders (Alicia Vikander) okyanusun dibine sert bir dalış yapmaya hazırlanmaktadır.
