Konu özeti
Shakespeare'in Macbeth'inin ortaçağ Japonya'sına uyarlaması olan film, imparatorluk-derebeylik içindeki hırs mücadelesini işliyor. Lord Washizu ve Lord Miki, büyük bir askeri zaferin ardından Cobweb ormanında kaybolurlar. Burada Washizu'nun geleceğinde görkemli şeyler gören, Miki'nin soyundan gelecekler için daha da görkemli şeyler tahmin eden gizemli bir yaşlı kadınla karşılaşırlar. Hırslı eşinin de kışkırtmasıyla Washizu İmparator'u öldürmek pahasına da olsa bu kehanetin daha da fazlasını gerçekleştirmek için planlar yapmaya girişir.
