Konu özeti
Bir sirkte sergilenen ve gösterinin yıldızı sayılan "El Diablo" isimli kedi büyüklüğündeki at, Profösör Bromley’nin dikkatini çeker. Bu küçük atın, şimdiki atların atası olabileceğini ve El Diablo’nun yakalandığı yerde çok daha fazlasının olduğunu düşünmektedir. Daha önce sirkteki atlardan birini satın almak için gelmiş olan Tuck ile tanışan profösör, yanlarına bir grup kasabalıyı da alıp küçük atın bulunduğu yasak vadi Gwangi'ye doğru yola çıkar. Dinozor efektleri stop-motion tekniği ile çekilmiş olan filmin özel efektleri Ray Harryhausen tarafından hazırlanmış.
